Republic – people who nominate or elect people who they want to become the leader
In 510 BC a group of roman doesn’t agree on how their king was acting. They drove him out of the Rome and royal families took the power and ruled as members of the senate and Rome became a kingless republic. They overthrew the king and instituted a republic form of government
Why would rome have been a good place to found a city?
– have a lot of resources, not very close nor very far to the sea and are protected by mountains in the north for invaders.
Why would the italian Peninsula have been a good place to start and Empire?
– It was in the bottom and was surround by the mountains so it would be hard to conquer that place and it had good farm lands.
